Stay Strange is San Diego's exclusive noise music collective. We organize music shows. We are also a cassette tape label, book publisher and run a YouTube channel.

ARE YOU STRANGE?

Next Saturday the Stay Strange Summer Series will begin at the College Rolando Library near SDSU. Our first show of the season will be @randychiurazzi and his Sound Suit! Show begins at 2:00PM With special guest avant-garde turntablist DJ La Rompita Rekordo. Donations gladly accepted. 6600 Montezuma Rd. Next to Ralphs. Space is limited. Excited to announce our Stay Strange Summer Series at the #collegerolandolibrary in June and July. All shows start at 2:00PM. This summer’s series will include guitar destroyer Randy Chiurazzi, plant and soil noise musicians Dr. Evil Lipschitz and thee @bobby_bray with a whole array of radness madness for you! Bobby Bray photo courtesy of @yourethenight 🖤 Creepin’ is hard unless it’s a cemetery creep!! We rode hard on Saturday. Wanna join? Hit up @streetcreepsandiego for the next roll!! Vid by Chris Woo! Yo friends!! Let's get spectral this Sunday!! Join the @streetcreepsandiego bicycle team and roll out to Mount Hope and Greenwood Cemetery on a mini Cemetery Creep! Taking a break from the noise to chill out in #oaxaca this week! Meet us there! #oaxacacity #mezcal No more April’s Fool Day jokes!! This is for real! See you riders tomorrow (Sunday, April 2) at Old Town Transit Center parking lot at 10:00A for the Loop Of Doom trail; a guided bicycle tour highlighting the weird and grotesque history of San Diego by @streetcreepsandiego Cannibal headhunters? The most satanic street in San Diego? Spooky cemeteries? Bizarre sculptures? Witches? If you haven't rode out with us before, now's the time! This Sunday, April 2 we will act as informal Stay Strange tour guide for what we are calling THE LOOP OF DOOM! 10 years ago today Stay Strange curated one of the last San Diego Experimental Guitar shows ever! We even made the cover of San Diego City Beat. Remember that rag? I think about that all of the time! We had so many great guitarists in that series. I’m glad that we ended it at the height of its noisy glory! What’s next??? These posters are from Sandra Carmen Sandoval’s poster collection digitized by SDSU’s Special Collection and University Archive department. These posters are from the late 70’s, early 80’s. I need a time machine to check out that “Storm” show!
