Chad Deal

Chad Deal is a writer and musician from San Diego, California. His work has appeared in zines and publications including the Radvocate, Uniekest Magazine, Free the Marquee, Toyon Literary Magazine (with a story awarded Mensa’s best nonfiction of 2008), Thrillist, and the San Diego Reader. He currently plays bass with brutal prog trio INUS, aggressive math lounge quintet Phantom Twins, and releases solo material as e.g. phosphate. He has lived in Arcata, California; Sol Duc Hot Springs, Washington; Stanley, Idaho; Watertown, Minnesota; Medellín, Colombia; and Tijuana, Mexico, before returning to reside in San Diego. He holds a BA in Creative Writing from Humboldt State University.
