Friends! We are back at Burn All Books Friday, December 19 for a good old-fashioned noise show with Autophagia (double tape release) and Snooze Alarm.

AUTOPHAGIA

Using synthesizers, scrap metal, and a composition strategy centered around recycling, Autophagia assembles self-consuming torrents of noise and industrial music.  Hailing from San Marcos, Autophagia released its debut tapes through San Diego’s own Birdeater Entertainment following a series of self-produced demos.  Associated visual art was published by Wasted Books, and an album is currently forthcoming with Love Earth Music.

SNOOZE ALARM

M.J. Stevens, a 70 year old retiree with a bad back, is the product of a life spent mainly in the suburbs of Southern California. Snooze Alarm is his one-man band focusing on cover versions of Classic Rock hits of the 60’s and 70’s filtered through a veil of noise, improvisation, and mistakes. His set on Dec. 19th will consist of obscured versions of songs recently heard as supermarket background music.
